Cantemus is an experienced chamber choir of up to 30 singers that draws its membership from Cardiff and the surrounding area. Directed by Huw Williams, it has become established as one of Wales' finest chamber choirs, performing to the highest standard. The choir performs a wide range of music from the Renaissance to the present day, with the music of J. S. Bach featuring prominently. Cantemus has established an enviable reputation for stylish performances of his music. The choir has also performed on the radio, most recently on BBC Radio 2's Sunday Half Hour to mark the beginning of Lent 2012.
Our next concert will be 'The Flowering of Baroque: Choral masterpieces from the 1600s'. The choir will perform music by Monteverdi, Charpentier, Schutz, Praetorius, Gibbons, Tomkins, Weelkes, Purcell and Blow.
